“We really enjoyed the day trip! We didn't have access to a car on our holiday, so this was the perfect way to get between the two towns and where we were staying. We were so happy to see that Alessandra would be our trip leader for the day (we had just met her on another tour), and we immediately knew we were in good hands. “We really enjoyed our day tour to Polignano and Alberobello. The communication about the meeting point was excellent and all of the staff were polite and efficient. The day before the trip we had been informed of a change to the schedule and were offered the choice of a boat trip to the caves or a Tuk Tuk tour of Polignano. We choose the Tuk Tuk tour. It was great fun and we learned about the history of the area. We had free time after the tour to have lunch before we travelled to Alberobello. We met our guide who I think was called Alessandro. “The Trulli Village located in Alberobello is a must see. Unique stone homes built without mortar. The towns of Monopoli and Polignano are beautiful sea side towns with great panoramic views. Driver and guide were friendly and informative. Was a great private tour from the cruise ship.”
“Our driver was amazing. Very helpful and proactive Galatina was a wonderful little place. Really peaceful in the morning. Authentic little town without too many tourists. The main cathedral is absolutely beautiful. The snacks and drinks provided in the little cafe were amazing Otranto too is beautiful. Gallipoli was nice too, but it seemed to be quite similar to Otranto… if one is short of time I think it would be ok to skip Gallipoli if you are doing Otranto”
